Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.

Here are the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating.

Workstation

  • 16” MacBook Pro, M2 Pro, 32GB RAM

I was using an Intel-based 16” MacBook Pro prior to this and the difference is night and day. I’ve never heard the fans turn on a single time, even under the incredibly heavy loads I put it through with various IDEs and browsers.

Development tools

  • WebStorm

JetBrains's powerful IDE for JavaScript and TypeScript development. The intelligent code completion, refactoring tools, and built-in debugging make working with complex projects incredibly efficient.

  • GoLand

My go-to IDE for Go development. The deep understanding of Go's nuances, integrated testing, and excellent debugging capabilities make it indispensable for building microservices and cloud-native applications.

  • Warp

A modern terminal built for the 21st century. The AI-powered command suggestions, beautiful UI, and collaborative features have completely transformed my command-line experience.

Design

  • Figma

We started using Figma as just a design tool but now it’s become our virtual whiteboard for the entire company. Never would have expected the collaboration features to be the real hook.

Productivity

  • Raud

My own AI-powered tool for easy dictation, translation, and creating short-form content. Perfect for quickly transforming voice notes and videos into polished social media posts optimized for different platforms.

  • Claude

Anthropic's AI assistant that helps me brainstorm solutions, debug complex problems, and explore new technologies. Its deep understanding of code and architecture makes it an invaluable pair programming partner.

  • Notion

My second brain for organizing everything from project documentation to personal notes. The flexibility to create databases, kanban boards, and wikis all in one place makes it perfect for managing both work and personal knowledge.

  • Maccy

A lightweight clipboard manager that keeps my copying history at my fingertips. Simple, fast, and incredibly useful when working with multiple code snippets and configurations.
